My Top Beauty Products

This quarantine made me look at my beauty routine a whole different way. I found products that I (and my skin) fell in love with and will continue to use. There’s also makeup products that I love and want to share with you and also hair products that smell sooo good and are great for thin, frizzy hair like mine.

Skin Care

For the Face:

Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash for Normal-to-Oily Skin

I had been searching and researching for a new face wash. As you know your skin changes over time and age, and it was about time I upgraded to something that benefits my skin more. My friend Brenda, who recently posted on her IGTV about her daily beauty routine, showed us the product she uses for her face. I was sold, Kiehls is one of the products I always wanted to try and I plunged to get it. Thank God I did, it is so good to my skin! My skin looks so much brighter and better, I am so happy I bought this. My face is usually dry ( I need to drink more water, I’m working on it!) and I don’t really suffer from acne, but this is perfect to balance the tone of your face.

KIEHL'S SINCE 1851 Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash for Normal-to-Oily Skin, Main, color, 000

Night Cream:

Origins Plantscription Youth-Renewing Power Night Cream

I just ran out of this night cream! I really liked this one it was great for my skin and worked well. My skin was brighter in the morning and it helped with keeping it supple. The only thing is that it is a little expensive, and the jar is a little small. I bought this jar at TJMaxx for $25, but if you see this for a great price you should definitely try. My next purchase for a night cream would probably be from the Korean brand Laneige. It is more around my price range and It has really great reviews.

Cold Cream/Make up Remover:

Cold Cream Moisturizing Cleanser + Makeup Remover

I realized that cold creams and oils are the best way to remove makeup, using a wipey or makeup wipes can really damage your skin and dry it out, giving you a greater chance for wrinkles. I love this cold cream, it took me awhile to work my way around this one because I am so used to my Ponds cold cream, but I finally have my routine down with using this product. It smells great and I love that my makeup comes right off!

Hair Care

For the Blondes:

L’ange Violet Shampoo

Struggling to find a purple shampoo that actually does its job, that doesn’t leave your hair all stiff and stringy. Guys! This shampoo is it! If you have bleached hair or gray hair, this shampoo tones out the brass and gives it the color you deserve. I use it every two weeks, the color is so strong, it will leave your hands a little purple, they recommend gloves but I don’t wear them. So this shampoo is almost always sold out, but sign yourself up for the next restock so you will snatch this product up! You won’t be dissapointed.

Intense Violet Shampoo

For Thin Hair:

Thicken and Restore + Bamboo Fibers Blowout Mist

If you have thin hair or little hair, this is a great product to use. I LOVE the smell of this spray, it is amazing! The bottle even tells you not to eat it… I understand lol. At first I would put this alone with out any other product like hair oil and my hair was thick and frizzy, which is fine it was doing its job. After I washed my hair and included a leave in conditioner and some hair oil, I sprayed this in and blow dried my hair and … wow no more frizz, lots of volume! So good. I wish they made a candle out of this.

Leave In Conditioner:

OUAI Leave In Conditioner

Another great smelling product! I love OUAI, I mean its so good everything they come out with is amazing! I work this in after I shampoo and condition with my regular conditioner. It smells great and I recommend it to anyone who wants sleek, soft hair. It is a little pricey but I really recommend it if you want healthy looking hair.

Hair Oil:

OUAI – Hair Oil

So you know that I suffer from frizzy hair, so I need some tame in my routine. I don’t really need that much because I’m not trying to be oily. This is my go to, I tried this as a sample and loved it so I bought the bottle. It smells great, It leaves my hair shiny but not oily and you can pop it in your travel bag because its not that big. It is gonna last you awhile, because you only need a pump or two. Definitely a must!

 Affordable Makeup

Glittery Eyes:

Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow $5

I used this on my insta stories a couple days ago and you guys loved it! For only five bucks you get this super pigmented, shiny and glittery eyes! Perfect for a night out or if you want to just put a little bit of shine in you eyes. Definitely a 5 star product!

Strong Concealer:

Conceal + Perfect Longwear Concealer

Milani does it again! This brand is really good at making makeup that is like top quality with an affordable price tag. I bought this concealer because I was on empty on another one from L.A Girl, and I thought I’d give it a go. The consistency is really great and it stays on pretty much all day. It gives you like a matte finish but makes the makeup look smooth and flawless. If you’re like me and love a dewy finish just add some facial spray before and after your makeup. I recommend this 100%.

Blush To Love:

Cheek Me Later Cream Blush

Ok to be honest I rarely use a powder blush, I am more likely to use a dab of my lipstick color. I love how cream blushes look over regular powder blush, they just look more like skin – according to makeup artist Scott Barnes ( he does Jlo’s makeup). Florence is a new line from Millie Bobbie Brown, I love the dark blush color they just got well with my skin tone. Let’s all move on to a cream blush people, you’ll love the outcome.

Hope you guys are staying safe! Avoid crowds and do your best to not go out!

Love you all!
